Placebo & Nocebo

You’ve heard of the placebo effect, but what about nocebo? How what you believe can affect your health, for better or worse.

Most of you have probably heard of placebo but have you heard of nocebo?

And what’s the difference?

And what difference can it make to your mindset and your body?

Well quite a lot actually!

You have probably heard of the placebo effect.

Where people are put on medical trials when a new drug is being tested.

What’s interesting though, is the people taking the fake medication often perform as well as the people on the real medication.

They know what benefits they could be getting from the drug, so they look for them.

They look for improvements in their health and find them!

But the opposite can also happen with nocebo.

If someone is given a bad prognosis.

They can speed up an illness or not get better because they believe that is the outcome for them.

And it all comes from the power of your own mind.

And what you believe will affect both your mind and body enormously.

And what if we could use the power of our mind to improve our health or reduce our symptoms?

Interesting eh?

Unexpressed Emotions

Good relationship, great job, no money worries, but still not feeling right? Often it’s an unexpressed emotion from the past. As they say in therapy, the issue is never the issue.
